Car hire in Portugal is generally much cheaper than many other European countries and both Lisbon and Porto airports offer a wide range of companies.

Both airports have excellent choice of car-hire firms to chose from easily booked online and car-hire in Portugal is cheap - prices start at about €12 per day for a small car but do book well in advance to get the best prices.

You can hire just one way and drop off at Figueira, then do the same on the return leg. Car hire prices do ramp up nearer the holiday season so it is well worth booking in advance.

You don’t really need a car to get around Figueira unless of course you may want to explore the local region.
